Creating Smiles That Last

Dental care is a long-term, continuous process that requires much more than one trip to the dentist. Sharing Smiles provides children with the training, supplies and dental care they need from infancy to adulthood to ensure each child has a lasting smile.

In Honduras and Dominican Republic, we employ on-site dentists so each child will receive dental cleanings and preventative care at least every six months. Not only do we give them a healthy smile, we change the way they view oral hygiene and overall wellness.

Smile Stories: Kevin & Family

In December 2017, Sharing Smiles traveled to Villahermosa, Mexico for our yearly mission trip. Both Kevin and his dad Roldan had surgeries in 2016—Kevin on his cleft lip and Roldan for a scar revision.  The next year, we were happy to see them return for some final procedures, including a cleft repair for his little brother Cesar.

Mission Spotlight

Honduras

Many children in Honduras are without a family to support them. In 2015, Sharing Smiles partnered with the organization El Hogar to provide dental care to hundreds of children living in an orphanage in Tegucigalpa.
